Since its inception in 2003, the San Mateo High School Foundation has raised nearly $3 million to support facility and program improvements at SMHS.  Below are some of the projects we have funded.

1. Chromebooks for every single student 
2. Technology Upgrades, including Smartboards and Flat-Screen Televisions to enhance our learning environments
3. Barbara Snider College and Career Center to provide invaluable college, career & financial aid advice for all our students
4. Student Scholarships
5. Diamond Grants for innovative faculty-initiated programs
6. Programs to support Student Engagement and Community Building, including Freshman Connections and Sophomore Experience​
7. Grants to support our Music, Drama, Dance and Athletic boosters
